My Dear Relatives, Friends and Colleagues,

I am very pleased to inform you that my health problems, which started in may 2002, have been diagnosed in London, United Kingdom. It started early morning 5th of May 2002 in Hargeisa, while driving my car in front of Hargeisa Group Hospital. I became unconscious and found myself at the ward 6 days later. My family members evacuated me to Ethiopia, and later, to United Kingdom.

H.E Mr Mohamed Said Gees, who was the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somaliland at that time, was responsible for facilitating my visa to U.K. I am therefore obliged to extend my sincere appreciation to his efforts and honest assistance.

During my stay in London (i.e. Dec.2002-…. Jan 2004) my relatives, friends and colleagues met all the expenses pertaining to the following activities:

Maintenance expense

Consultations with doctors

Healthcare expenses

Health issues attended and successfully resolved were:

Having an angiogram. This is an investigation which provide about ones coronary arteries, valves, the pumping ability of the heart muscle and pressure of the chambers of the heart;

Having an angioplasty is actually treatment to the heart. The procedure is performed using a local anaesthetic, bypassing a fine tube with a balloon on the end, via an introductory sheath into the blocked artery. This is normally done via an artery in the groin. When accurately placed using x-ray imaging, the balloon is inflated to the narrowing;

Right operation and treatment to left eye (glaucoma).

It is my pleasure to inform you that all the medical treatment I under- went was successful. I am deeply indebted to all those of you who made my medical treatment possible and my stay in London comfortable and pleasant.

Wishing you all happy New Year and promising future.

Yours Sincerely,

Mr.A.M.Gedi (Sanjab).
