London, July 24, 2004 (SL Times) – Puntland’s Warlord Abdillahi Yusuf
will face trial in a London Court for the murder of Sultan Hurre.

The Superior Court of England and Wales ruled on July 7, 2004 in
favor of a request from Zahra Abdillahi, widow of the late Sultan
Hurre, to allow trial of Abdillahi Yusuf before a British Court in
connection with the murder of her husband in Galkayo in 2002.

Abdillahi Yusuf’s Lawyer argued that since the incident took place in
Galkayo, the British Judicial system had no jurisdiction to try his
client on UK soil.

The defendant shall serve a counter schedule by Jan 14, 2005. The
Court also ruled that Abdillahi Yusuf pay £5,000 to the claimant’s
solicitors on account of legal costs.

Zahra Abdillahi and her children live in London.
