Hargeisa (SL Times) - A Qatari business delegation led by Sheikh Naef Bin Suleiman Bin Hassan Al-Thani arrived in Hargeisa last Thursday. The purpose of the visit was described as obtaining first hand information on industrial investment opportunities in Somaliland.

Accompanying the Sheikh are 7 business associates from South and South Asian countries such as Pakistan, India, Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam. Also with the delegation are two Somalilander-Qataris, Siyad and Omer.

Sheikh Naef and members of his delegation held discussions with Somaliland’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Mohamed Hashi Elmi, on Thursday.

The Sheikh is also expected to pay a courtesy call on the president. During its stay in Somaliland, the Qatari team will visit various parts of the country.
