Somaliland Stuck In A Familiar Comfort Zone‎

By Ahmed Mohamed Suleiman

The news that was coming out the nation's capital for the last couple of days was shocking and disappointment. This was a news that was carried out by   most news media in Somaliland and Diaspora, be it Print media, Radio, TV, and websites. However,   there was one exception, and that was Qarannews.com that did not carry out the event. In this instance, one would wonder what went wrong. Was it by misjudgment or calculated plan orchestrated by its reports on the ground and the web site's editor. For this, I will leave the Somalilanders to decide what they made   of it.

However, someone who turns to Qarannews once a day for fresh news was a big disappointment to say the least. What happened in Hargeysa General Hospital for the last two days was shocking and jaw dropping tragedy. Something no reporter will ever want to miss to report to the public. Not because it is a sensational story but it was a misfortune and unprecedented event that had taken place right in our own eyes to perform. Excessive force was used to storm where the sick and new born babies are housed and cared for.
