Hargeysa, Somaliland, March 25, 2006 – Dr. Ali Mazrui, one of Africa’s best-known thinkers and philosophers, is expected to wind up his 5-day long visit to Somaliland today.

During his stay in Somaliland, professor Mazrui lectured students of the Hargeysa University on the topic of “ Africa ’s bondage of boundaries – Is it time to loosen the chains?”

Round-table discussions were also held with the professor on such a subject as the theory of “Clash of Civilizations” and state terrorism versus religious terrorism.

The internationally acclaimed scholar also addressed a joint session of the two houses of Somaliland parliament on Wednesday.

Read a broader coverage of Dr. Mazrui’s presentation in the next issue of the Somaliland Times.
