Foundation of Adel Development Organization: The Marker Of An Exemplary Community Collaboration

Our diaspora community here in the Midwest of the United States , do hereby congratulate Ikram H. D. Warsame, and all the other prominent community members who contributed making the foundation of this organization possible. We urge you to collect all your efforts, in order to make this organization a viable organizations, that makes an impact on the development of our home state in particular and our beloved country-Somaliland in general.

We also express our deepest gratitude to congress women Ikran H. D. Warsame, for her prompt fulfillment of the Diaspora's advice, regarding the huge need for the formation of a local organization that may coordinate the diaspora development efforts to the local efforts, during her visit to the United States.

Let me first of all commend all those who made the foundation of this organization possible. The Declaration of the Adal Development Organization is a great news for all the people of Somaliland . This organization will hopefully galvanize and unify if you will, the diaspora communities and the local ones. We most not lose sight of the fact that, both of those groups share a common goal, which is the development of our homeland and country. We will soon give you reliable contact numbers and e-mails of our organizations here in the Midwest of the United Sates. From today on, we don't want to here the argument which goes, there is nobody in the home land we can contact. This is just the beginning, this organization which may be the harbinger of a partnership between and the local communities just started in Awdal, but we hope such noble idea will soon spread to the other states of Somaliland, and the bridge between the diaspora communities and the communities back home will be completed.

This Is a great step forward for the development of the great state of "Awdal", and all the other states of our great land of Somaliland . This is an exemplary move, which has to be emulated, copied and started in other states of Somaliland . "Barbarkay Ka Baxdaa waa Bakala Qaleen. Despite the lack of acknowledgment of our best kept secret, despite the constant denial of our inalienable right for self-determination and liberty by our neighbors and others, we will march on. Such inspiring moves and encouraging endeavors made possible by our junior congress women Ikram Haji Daud Warsame is a great inspiration and marker, for the good days to come, which If Allah wills will culminate with the full recognition of the self-less efforts undertaken by our resilient, patient and hopeful people in all departments.

During Ikram's visit to the United States , I have got the opportunity to meet somebody so great, so dignified and as enthusiastic as congress woman IKram H.D.Warsame. I have peoples' person. I have seen a pioneering change agent. I have seen a straight talking politician. I have seen somebody with a tremendous power of persuasion. I have seen somebody, who could easily grape the attention of audiences. I have seen a politician unlike other one in the recent memory. To sum it all up, I have seen a dedicated, accountable, driven, transparent and courageous politician. She reminds me of my favorite civil rights trailblazers, such as the late Rosa Parks, or the late dashing Barbara Jordan, the first women of color elected to the US congress for a period of about 80 years.

When I read about the founding of the new organization "Adal", and immediately seen her signature on that new organization, I have said, there she goes again. Our young democracy is finally got somebody like Ikran. H.D Warsame and others, who can immediately make their mark and finger prints on the community and the nation. This is all made possible by the collective hard work of all our people, including traditional elders, the intelligentsia, resourceful women, young people, the religious and business communities, ordinary working people, farmers, country people and everybody else who contributed to the fruits of peace, progress and relative prosperity our people are reaping today.

Those tremendous achievements have all done without the help of the symbolic, do nothing, and the mere names on paper debating societies such as IGAD, AU, The UN and the rest. The regional organizations such as IGAD, the AU and the UN have the worst tract records in terms of conflict resolution, conflict prevention, peace keeping, peace making, mediation, redressing of wrongs, human rights, the apprehension of war criminals and prosecution of war criminals, democracy and helping the handful democracies including "Somaliland" springing up in a sorrow continent.

The formation of Adal is another sign of the potentialities and the capabilities of our communities. This is a sign of people taking charge of their destiny and not looking for hand outs, and not waiting from never coming 20Th century organizations already outliving their usefulness in every passing day.

Finally, I have the pleasure to inform you that, over 30,000 of Science, Math, Medical and Nursing books, are donated to us, on behalf of Amoud University and Middle-high schools in "Awdal". Some of those books will also go to Hargeysa and Burao Universities. The books will hopefully reach the area in the coming three months. a full report regarding the books will come out in the foreseeable future.
