The Theory of Backwardness and Somalia/Somaliland Political Stage

I have seen and I have heard,
What’s been said debated, dejected?
Mad about this and that, that which you've
Haven’t a clue, ye scribes know not
You are to blame, nay are all the same?

Read On, read with all that might,
Hunger ye have for us, and those you want to pen.
With all that, which ye practice not.
Look, look closer, closer than ye think!
Can ye see what I see, nay how can you
Blinded by all that folly, think yourselves
Our cream, cream indeed? Just look, look

What’s been said ‘n’ not done
And ye shall see, see ye real-self
True but not bright, shining not like a distant star
A twinkle here and twinkle there, ye write & think
Think ye politically correct, ye wrong!

Far from the truth, led us from our true ways
The Somali way, the noble way our forbearers
Etched in us to live & respect one another.

Having read this entire Washington post Somali forum, from top to bottom. My thoughts were those words above. I am not a poet nor are these words intended as a poem but simply my inner thoughts and anger with many of those Somalis posing as intellectuals or mouthpiece for us poor ‘Godforsaken’ nation and country. I say ‘Godforsaken’ not because God has forsaken us (God forbid) but in that we ‘Somalis’ have forsaken God. For we have forsaken all that is good. Whether they be in the West or East, we Somalis have lost it, lost touch with sincerity and all that comes with it.

May God help us acknowledge our weaknesses and guide us.
