When will the people realize that the Islamic courts are just a ruse by crafty southern politicians for hegemony of both Somaliland and Somalia? Sadly, our people are politically naive, they were in 1960 and are once again showing the same trait. Are we not Muslim in Somaliland? Ever since Allahu subxaanu wa tacaala created the world we have been Muslim in Somaliland. If the people of Somaliland are apathetic enough to throw away their sovereignty, peace, democracy and development by allowing the Islamic courts to come through the backdoor, then everything has been in vain.

Are we going to keep repeating these cycles every forty years, will we never learn? The Islamic courts are saying that they are the true believers, but isn't Somaliland a Muslim country? Don't' we follow the Quran? Unlike the south, we don't have warlords, we don't have injustice, murder, rape, anymore...So, what could we possibly learn from Xamar and   its supporters on Islam? Can you imagine Morgan and Xasan Turki are salivating over a return to Somaliland? Let them come I say, they were lucky to get away the first time!

Islam is about peace and justice, and if those who claim to be sincere in their beliefs  do not appreciate the injustice suffered by Somaliland and its people for over forty years, and the peace we have enjoyed for the past 16 years, then they are do not understand true Islam.

I am a faithful and adhere to all tenants of Islam, but I also realize that I live in a modern world, and do not attempt force my beliefs on others or claim superiority over my fellow Muslims. My faith is between my creator Allahu subxaana wa tacaala and his humble servant. And I will do whatever is necessary  to resist and fight those who wish to subjugate Somaliland and its people once again. I hope other Somalilanders feel the same.

Those of   us in the diaspora   have become too comfortable, most of us missed the first campaign to free Somaliland, and we sit in comfort abroad, send money when we can, debate politics when we feel like, but let me tell you, there are people who have designs on Somaliland, both from within and without, and the in the near future, events will decide whether persevere or lose everything. It is paramount that all true Somalilanders remain in control of these events.

Sincerely,

[ruraledcomm@yahoo.co.uk]
