Somaliland doesn't need permission from anyone regarding its sovereignty. Mr. Yusuf talks of law and proper procedure, just exactly which law allows him to speak or pretending to govern the people of Somalia? Somaliland's leaders are elected by the people of Somaliland. Does Mr. Yusuf have a direct mandate from the people of Somalia? No. What are the chances of the Somali people giving a convicted warlord like Mr. Yusuf a direct mandate? None, not a chance in hell.

Somaliland is sovereign by using all the recognized legal laws in the world. National dialogue followed by discussions and then by consensus. In 2001 the people of Somaliland affirmed their sovereignty and constitution by a landslide. These are the facts based in law, but then I don't expect the likes of Mr. Yusuf to understand international law. The only law his kind understand is the gun law. Somaliland has guns too Mr. Yusuf, and I doubt you would like to come and   taste its metallic texture.

Let me remind Mr. Yusuf that if it wasn't for the Ethiopian armed forces, he would no doubt be wandering around region. Let me also remind Mr. Yusuf, that it is no good talking to the BBC here in save and secure London, but if he is sincere about improving the situation for the people of Somalia, he should be in Mogadishu dealing with matters, and for more than one night.

Unlike Somalia, Somaliland's national institutions are geared towards the development of the country and its people. These institutions have been tried and tested, and it obvious that come what may, Somaliland's sovereignty is sacrosanct.

So, preach on Mr. Yusuf, preach to the likes of Buubaa and his ilk who are discredited and disowned by Somaliland. There is a Somali proverb "waxaa rag ugu liita nin maqan oon a la tabin". The likes of Buubaa and his ilk  have neither voice nor stature in Somaliland and no doubt are dispensable when they have done your lackeys jobs.

Somaliland is sovereign, and will continue to be so until judgment day. The only permission Somaliland needs is from Allahu subxaana wa tacaala, and judging by its continued existence, it is already given.
