Mr President, thank you for heeding nation's concerns

Our Enemy Number One “Rayale And His Regime”

By M. Abokor

I am a Somaliland born in Tanzania and my late father was born in Hargeisa. I remember very well our people died in the war to remove the late dictator Mohamed Siyad Barre and his military from our soil. The main reason we fought was to restore our heritage and culture which embraces the fundamental rights of freedom of speech in our society. But I feel very sorry to see the same corrupted leaders who used to work for Siyad regime are mostly in the government of Somaliland. They are the ones who now virtually stole every shilling from the government coffer.

I also felt pain when the meat sellers who were sentenced illegally for demonstrating which is their rights to do so to be jailed. It is a high time that the people of Somaliland should stand up against corrupted and dictatorial regime which is operating in disguise and who are bent to destroy the hard earned freedom so that the country rejoins with Somalia.

Somaliland is a rich country but if foreign funds are not counted nothing will be done and the wealth must be divided not only to see the area the where the president come from gets more developed than other part of Somaliland.

Long live Haatuf, Long live Somaliland and its people. God bless Somaliland – Ameen
