The US Administration, after committing open aggression against Somalia through its mercenary, the TPLF regime, opted to cripple promptly the political movement that was born of the experience and bitterness of the people of Somalia. This movement, which was dubbed as a "terrorist movement" was leading the Somali people towards reconstitution and unity. Hence, the invasion provoked strong public protest and defiance. As a result, what has followed later has exposed the mistakes and failures of the US Administration.

Even if a lot have been expended to mask and cosmetically makeup the invasion as a step taken to uproot terrorism and settle peace and stability in the Horn of Africa, the ray of peace and stability that has once shone in the horizon has once again been polluted entailing a massive humanitarian crisis, which by far is extremely pathetic. At a time when the wrong policies of the US Administration, which has brought about huge disaster and the worst tragedy that is being observed boldly, the same US Administration by covering its failures, is trying to spread different distracting songs in order to fool the international community.

By purposely concealing the war being waged by the people of Somalia against the invading force, the US Administration is trying to present this as "the war of clans". This has become Washington's frequent campaign as well as the TPLF regime. Besides, the allegation, "Eritrea is supporting the Somali cause due to the dispute it has with Ethiopia" is a baseless fabrication. In addition, by repeating this crude lie, continuous propaganda is being aired in order to taint the war in Somalia as "the war between Eritrea and Ethiopia". And some individuals who call themselves "analysts" or "experts" either on purpose or otherwise are repeating and reechoing this lie as it is.

The people and Government of Eritrea, due to their historical relations and friendship with the people of Somalia, do understand deeply the aspirations and choice of the Somali people more than any other ones. Hence, they do respect the choice of the Somali people and their determination to reconstitute their homeland, understanding before hand the role it would play in the stabilization of the region. What is more, the Government of Eritrea criticizing the wrongs done by outside forces who intervened without proper understanding and cognition, has time and again warned that the international community, governments in our region or continent not to plunge themselves in such a wrong undertaking, that runs counter to the wish and aspirations of the people of Somalia and leave a black spot in their history.

Surely with time, the truth gets to shine ever more and as a result the correct stand of the Government of Eritrea is getting growing acceptance on the part of many parties. And these developments will not be palatable to the US Administration which by taking the wrong action has stirred the worst kind of instability and chaos. That's why it is singing and echoing a number of distracting songs to taint the resistance of the Somali people against Ethiopia's invasion and the correct stand of the Eritrean government. However, the real and true reality on the ground cannot be concealed and changed by any media campaign or hypocritical statements for if one tries to bury truth it will surface in due course.
