Excerpt from report by Somaliland independent daily newspaper Haatuf on 8 July

Three high ranking Ethiopian military officials have in the past few days been visiting Somaliland police camps.

These officials arrived in the country on Thursday. They also visited Berbera, the provincial town of Saaxil Region. In Saaxil Region the Ethiopian officials visited Maandheera police training school.

Also they visited the police camps in Hargeysa and other places.

Somaliland government has not commented on this visit, but it is believed that their aim was related to police issues. Other reports say their aim is to survey and evaluate on how to provide police training...

Last month Somaliland police chief, when addressing the police forces, said that there will be Ethiopian officials who would arrive in the country to train the policemen. [Passage omitted]
