We will discuss the issue of Somaliland’s recognition and seek new markets for Somaliland’s abundant supply of livestock and fresh meat,” the vice president explained. “Initially’, the vice-president added, “President Dahir Rayale Kahin was supposed to be making this trip to Malaysia, but due to the pressing internal issues in the country, I will be making this trip instead.” The vice-president stressed that, “Asia is fast becoming an economic and political power bloc, and that Somaliland, like it has done in Africa, should also look to countries like Malaysia in the Far East to spread its case for recognition”.
