History is a mirror to show your past mistakes and to learn from it. However, it seems that the Somaliland people never learn from history. They seem to forget so quickly of what happened to them or how it comes about. They forget of what happened less than decade ago, let alone ages ago.

Let us examine how Afwayne regime started his genocide policy against the Somaliland people step by step and slowly, and how Somaliland people tolerated Afwayne's Regime and the price they paid for that tolerant.

Let us see the similarly between Rayale’s regime and Afwayne Regime.

The present Somaliland come about when the regime in Mogadishu decided to decimate and wipe out a certain people from the face of the earth in what was then a north eastern Somalia.

Recall from history book how little Care about and easy goes the life was before the military regime.

Recall from history book that the military regime waste no time to deprive, suppressed, discriminate and kill us all slowly, by first making no single and viable investment in our country, and planned for what is already there to come to stand still on its own right.

Recall that they restricted all economic activities " import and export"

Recall from history book that any attempt of investment and development by international body in the north was refused and instead it went into the south.

Recall from history book; even that Berbera Cement Factory were ordered to be build in the south, but logics argued that where an earth are we going to get the row materials from, the regime says it will be exported from Buuraha Berbera, legend says someone said okay, but said well lets the Jube and Shabeele's river waters beeraha waqooyiga. Finally logics won and it was build in Berbera. The only one investment in the north for the 30 years of Afwayne's regime.

Recall from history book that every decedent voice was put down silent by either been killed or imprisoned.

Recalled how long the people of Somaliland were patient and hopping it will improve and somehow things will get better, a hopeful and wishful thinking that had never come about, instead, everything gone from bad to worst by the day, Until all the heat and the steam from ground finally gave the way and started to evaporated and people said that we had enough and together said NO.

Recall: 1982 when young, students and school children along with their teachers, intellectual in Burao and Hargaisa Equipped only with their books, pens and stones grabbed along the way took to the street on broad daylight and said enough is enough. These students had everything to enjoy in life provided by their family at that moment of time. They new little or nothing in politics or policy pursued by the government of Siyaad Bare against their people. But somehow their instinct told them what is happening in their country and to their people is not right, what had happened there and then; anyone who is old enough should remember and others must have heard from tale tellers.

Recall: hundred of peoples rounded in Burao on a broad day light shot in cold blood; and to humiliate their relatives and wider public they were ordered to witness the atrocity again to humiliate them even more relative were refused to bury their love one.

Recall: around the 50+ people rounded up in Mogadishu simply they were Somalilanders and were massacred in the middle of the night at aljasiiira beach.

Recall: those countless others rounded up in Berbera, Gabilay and in many town and cities elsewhere in the country in broad day light with same fate as those brothers before them.

Recall: those countless Cuqaal, Intellectual, doctors, teachers, Civil servants and many professionals rounded up in Hargaisa taken to Mandheer prison and shot one by one at night.

Recall: the countless atrocity committed by that regime like poisoning the water well.

Recall: many countless Xoola dhaqato, reer miyi and Beeralay rounded by Gaani, Morgan and his henchman and shot one by one.

Recall: Decimation and dehumanization of your intellectuals, Madax dhaqameedkaagii, professionals, Priest, Lawyers and all others countless being put to death."

Recall 1982 when small number but wise men from Golihii Sare Ee Kacaanka said to Siyaad Bare; Mr President the country is heading in a wrong direction what to happen to them everyone know, their only crime was only to say let us put the country into right path.

Recall: The Geele's Court (Ama Maxkamadii Degdega ahayd ) that used to put everyone either to prison or to death.

Recall the long struggle led by SNM FREADOM FIGHET with strong support from Somaliland people.

Recall: When Siyad Bare and Mingisto signed agreement In Djibouti which virtually meant to switch off the life support machine of the patient simply to dies slowly, in this case the patient was the Somaliland people, Mujaahidiintii SNM and all their dream of saving and liberating their people from extinction. But Siyad Bare didn't realize that "Nin ILAAH LEH LOOMA DARDAAR WIRIYE".

We all know that the suicidal mission that the Mujaahidiintii of SNM under take when they launched their attack on the early morning of 1988 on Major cities and military base and barracks.

Recall: what happened their and then.

Recall: the military planes that took off at Hargeysa airport and bombed at the same airport, and city it took off i.e. Hargeysa, Burao and many other cities.

Recall: 100, 000-200000 who either lost their lives or wounded, and all 3 to 4 million of Somalilanders who's lost all their livelihood and history.

Recall: the influx of refugees in 1988 in to neighboring country at ducal, Daroor, Xarshin Qabri Bayax and many other refugee camps, almost the entire people of Somaliland went into Ethiopia as refugees.

Recall: How long the Somaliland people had suffered at the refugee camp in Ethiopia and elsewhere, and how long it took the Somaliland people to reclaim their country and declared and our lost sovereignty in 1991.

Remember: those many thousand of thousands who scarified their lives for us.

Remember: How many thousand of thousands of Mujaahidiintii who sustained a lifetime disability and psychologically, emotionally and mentally, and cannot fetch for themselves and/or their families to insult them more being branded as a criminals and thieves.

Remember those WHO PAYS THE AULTIMATE PRICE FOR US and those they left behind (Agoontii iyo Rajadii) with no love one, no fathers or mothers to look after and provide for them and now are destitute everywhere in the country.

Observe: The Word and Name SNM and Mujaahidiintii is being branded as criminals, Faqash and against peace and harmony and soon It may or will become come criminal offensive if you say the word SNM or Mujaahid which may landed you into prison or worst death.

Recall all of the reconciliation conference we undertook. The Burao Declaration and the Grant Boorama Reconciliation Conference. When we all from east, west, and north south of Somaliland come together and said we will forgive each other but we will not forget what had happened so it will never ever happen again.

Recall the democratization process we under took.

Recall: during the last three elections how many hours the people of Somaliland were standing in the hot sun of our country simply to cast their vote for better future for us and for generation to come?

Recall of the long hours of anxiety and waiting for the results.

Recall the extraordinary responsibility the people of Somaliland exercised when the results was stolen away.

Recall the oath that the President took under the holy Koran, that he will serve the country, the people, Justice and run the country through the constitution

Look what happened to City of Berbera and its Port which should be one the best port in Africa economically and in term of locality, Now it lays derelict and almost ghost town, all its inhabitants BAKHTIGU AYAA UXALAALYAHAY, All because the Rayale government want it to be that way, all import and export are virtually not allow by means of HIGH taxation. Only few cronies of Rayale right's hand man are allow to have control of all import and export such as TOTAL. We now know that other monopoly is awarded for rich Sucuudi man who will only benefit Rayale and his henchmen.

Didn't we all witnessing or heard from government action and word that all life stock should import via Djibouti, while Berbera deliberately made derelict.

It also Worth to mention all fisheries were licensed to view cronies and family member/s.

I cannot list here of what is going on our country But you Somaliland People see and knows very well which direction our country is heading. But I really...... really I don't know what Somaliland are waiting for, my answer to the above questions are the People of Somaliland never learn from their past or might wake up when it's too late.

What solution I am proposing is this.

Each year thousand and thousand of us with their family go back for holiday to see our country that some of us didn't seen since the day we left for DULCAD AND HARSHIN 1988.

We qurbajoog support our people financially and we know that without our remittance god knows what their life would be like. We Qurbajoog built nice villa, bungalow and bought thousand acres of land for future investment or for retirement.

When Diaspora goes back for holidays we heard xaflad loo qabtay ama lagusoo dhoweeyay Qorbajooga ayaa ka dhacaya ama loo/gu qabtay Hotel Mansuu, Ambassador ama meel hebla and so on.

We Somaliland intellectuals, educated, ordinary and wise people outside and inside the country

Saying that our country is heading in a wrong direction, but when it comes to action we are indifferent.

The solution is simple why we don't use the power of the people and our constitutional right to lead the way this summer mass and simultaneous demonstration in major city in our country i.e Hargeysa, Burao, Berbera, Gabiley and Boorama. Simply to say Mr President we cannot take no more, Mr: President we cannot stand by and watch the destruction of our country and the destruction of what we have been building for the last 16 years and we can't accept a new kind of dictatorship in making in Somaliland.

We can't take any more for human right abuse

We can't take no more the destructions of country constitutions

Ooh My people of Somaliland are we replicating the nonsense and wishful thinking and the mistakes made by our farther and grandfathers before, hoping that Mr. Rayale will change the course and makes things get better, before its too late to do anything about it.

You the people of Somaliland the illegal arrest and imprisonment of Muj. Mohamed Hashi and Dr: Gabose is a wake up call of many; my final sermon for the people of Somaliland WAKE UP AND SPEAK OUT FOR THE JUSTICE.

Let us say together laud and clear enough is enough.

Together we can do it; I must emphasize that we QURBAJOOG must lead the way.

IN THE MEMORY OF ALL THOSE WHO GIVE THE AULTIMATE PRICE FOR US, THE FALLEN HEORES OF SNM.
