Mr. Mohamed Abdi Adaweh’s article entitled, “Youth of Somaliland must know how to be serious,” which was published in various Somali websites, fails, miserably, to exercise the primary academic discipline of giving credit to the author from which the entire material was taken.
Reading through the article, I suspected whether Mr. Adaweh was the author of the article as he claimed. Therefore, I attempted to Google parts of the article in order to ensure that Mr. Adaweh is the author. However, searching through the internet, I discovered that the whole original article was published in Amr Khaled’s Official Website, under the title, “Step 6: Seriousness.”
Adaweh, who claims to be a writer by publishing articles in different Somali websites, ignores writers’ norms and ethics by plagiarizing articles of other authors. This shows beyond any reasonable doubt that Adaweh lacks basic confidence in writing his own articles. Therefore, one may advice that Mr. Adawe needs to develop skills necessary to publish reputable articles by attending local community colleges where useful courses are easily available.
Mr. Adawe cleverly plagiarized word-by-word from Amr Khaled and added few extra words, if any, in every sentence. Below please observe how Mr. Adaweh putted together this article through highway robbery tactics in clear violation of intellectual property rights. For your information, I included the website link in which the original article appeared.
