THE TROOP DEPLOYMENT THAT NEVER WAS

By Yusuf Deyr, Hargeysa, Somaliland

Far away in the sunshine are our highest aspirations.   We may not reach them, but we can look up and see their beauty; believe in them; and try our best to follow where they lead us to. Begin at once to live; and count each separate day as a separate life. The amount of sleep required by the average person is five minutes less. The difficult can be done immediately, and the impossible takes a little longer. If we don’t stand for something; that means we can fall for anything. If one way is better than the other; that you may be sure is nature’s way. A gossip is one who talks about others; a bore talks about himself; and a brilliant conversationalist talks about you. But the intelligence of any discussion diminishes with the square of the number of participants. A window? user spends one third of his life time in sleeping; one third in spying; and one third in waiting. Three keys lead to more abundant living. Caring about the others, daring for the others, and sharing with the others. What man really seeks is not perfection, which is in the future. But fulfillment, which is over in the present. When we share, that is poetry in the prose of life. Your vision is the promise of what you may one day be. Your ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil. Mr. Rayale, the cave you fear to enter, holds the treasure you seek. We can learn many things from the children. For instance, how much patience we have.

Those who get scared of the full moon have Selenophobia disease. Folks who hide when the sun rises have Esophobia disease. Those who fear their opponents are called fear? Mongers. They are trying to suppress the voices of freedom and justices.   They are the enemy of civilization and democracy. They like to stay in the dark; dislike X ? Rays; and all screening devices. Mr. Willson Churchill said, the definition of a fanatic person is somebody who opposes your opinion and does not like to change the subject? Matter. Mr. Mohamed Hashi Dhama (Gariye), I love your touching, impressive proses and verses, as well as your fair bit   of coaching.

Some close aides of Mr. Rayale has tipped us privately that his Palace always turns after midnight into a ghost - house and spooky - town full of scary creatures. Apparently these are angry spirits of our deceased heroes; and they are madly upset about their stolen victory. One bodyguard confirmed to me that he had seen these abhorring characters with precision. We always hear echoing voices saying. How can we have faith in ground? Hogs who are afraid of their own shadows? I need a little space to think. I don’t know who is me yet. I have to discover myself again. A hole needs filling in my wisdom tooth. Guess what! If my favorite hero and number Mr. Six, comes back from his self-imposed exile and looks at the New - World Order of Mr. Rayale. What a confusing legacy life can play! Imagine What! Mr. Rayale is dictating the destiny of Mr. M. White; (Mohamed Hashi Elmi) and labeling him as a terrorist destructive element, with a wide smile from Mr. Meles. Let every nation know, whether they wish us good or ill; whether they are our foes or our friends. Mr. M. White is our Stoical Heroes who owns our history, mythical resonance, and legendary tales. A true Nationalist that sacrificed with his bone and blood during our days of doom and gloom. Lost everything gold or dear to free this Ungrateful Nation from the shackles of slavery and humiliation. Lost his family, his golden age, and his career to restore back our dignity and Sovereignty.

Mr. Rayale, truth always brings division between right and wrong. For every minute we remain angry, we give up sixty seconds of our peace of mind. Mr. Rayale, we can’t all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the sides of the road and clap while Mr. M. White goes by. Why is the Caterpillar does all the work, and the butterfly gets all the headlines. If truth is beauty and beauty is truth. How come you never see a woman getting her hair done in a library? Mr. Rayale, you can’t spit on our face and say; it is raining. I am sorry to be you. Answer me. What is the top color on a rainbow? Red Or Blue? Is dry ice solid or frozen? That is right when your mother called you a dreamer. Never even try to parallel your self with Mr. M. White. Put your shoe on the right foot. You are talking like a stranger who expresses our feelings on behalf of us while we can’t speak. That does not only awaken our spirits and hearts, but also show our patience to the civilized World. Never try to switch the hourly hand of the clock backwards.

After eating years, manure and dust of Mr. Males Zenawi friendly relationship; Mr. Rayale becoming audibly choked up as he outlined the future of his political career. Speaking in rapid fire. His head is shaking and arms are flailing with every heated word. His eyes darting from face to face. For those who love peace and quiet, give a phone less cord to Mr. Rayale. As a negative detractor of your political puzzle in that old fashioned style of the late Siyad Bare. Starting with the letter? P? And ending with the letter? B? Mr. mad ?cow, the cashier of our revenue. Congratulation with your Eve less paradise and cunning art full of deceit. The evil you do two bye two now, you will pay back one by one later. Your recent Burao sitcom was weaven of dirty jokes. The masses are cursing you in every letter of the alphabet. Your talk is cheap because your barber gives it away free with the haircut. There is a boundary to a man’s passions when they act from an honest feeling; but none when the act dressed up with a jealous eye. We heard you saying that the woods would be silent if no bird sang except those that sang the best. It is O.K if you visit your past; just don’t bring your deadly tools. We know that you can hijack us in garbage bags. Mr. mad cow, how many legs does a seahorse have? How many times did you visit as a pilgrimage, the grave of your God father Siyad Bare? I am not scared of mentioning your name, but I hate to say it. You are broke in spirit if not in nature.

Mr. Rayale, we know that you get your advice through a Bible? prophecy? Revelation from the mouth of Mr. Meles Zenawi. Raising the statue of liberty with your long left arm while Mr. Meles is holding the torch of freedom with his right arm. Having all the commitment of a kamikaze ? pilot on his tenth mission. Labeling our genuine heroes as a terrorist destructive element. Simply because a bad idea can survive if it need not stand the test of a reality? check up. Our happiness, radiance, and serenity depend on your reflections and moods. To keep your heart unwrinkled; and to triumph over old? Aging. We must let you stay in power for good. Not simply because you are smart and honest; but simply because you stay in problems of confrontation longer. Mr. Rayale, every crown is made for a head, but every head is not made for a crown. Every tomorrow has two handles. We can take hold of it with the handle of anxiety, or the handle of faith. The future generation will learn deceit from your poverty; and love from woes.

Your past is attached with nostalgia but we are all suffering from amnesia to remember. Yesterday the rights of Amina Weris were denied, and to day Mr. M. White. Give me the list who is next?. The National Assembly or the Traditional Leaders.

Somalilanders, when Noah built the Ark, it was not raining. If we don’t stand for something; does that mean we will fall for anything. That is a crying shame on all of us. I am sorry to be one of you. Mr. Rayale, you have to respect the democracy that brought you in to the power. The day of reckoning is coming soon or later.

Yusuf Deyr, Hargeysa
