The Last Ten Nights Of Ramadan

By Ahmed Kheyre, London, UK

Somaliland must not become a conduit for anything that will have a negative effect on our stability and development. In this current climate, it is always better to be safe, conservative and investigate every suspicious behavior. However, Somaliland's territorial integrity is sacrosanct. There is no call for Ethiopian forces to come in Buuhoodle without the permission of Somaliland.

Somaliland   needs to walk softly and carry a big stick. We must not be drawn into the chaos that is in Somalia and Puntland. We all know the   recent battles in Las Canood are a prelude   to a wider dispute. The rational behind the struggle in Las Canood is to convince the neo-cons in Washington and Riyadh, that Somaliland is not a stable and democratic place.

Let   us be aware of the school of thought   followed by   certain people that out of chaos comes order. Somaliland is in the field of vision of these people. All our progress, development, democracy will be sacrificed, unless we remain above the fray, remain confident in our nation, and our ability to control our   own destiny.

Vigilance, the people of Somaliland must remain vigilant.
