Do Our Over Oversize Cabinet Of Ministers Understand, what does it take to be a Minister?!!

By Dr. Ali Abdi Mohamed,
Hargeisa.

Five years elapsed from UDUB's Venue as a Ruling Party.

Instead of taking "quality" as their Motto, they opted to "Quantity”, instead of "qualifications”, they opted to "Political vanguardism" and "Yes Sir men!

Instead of Accountability and transparency laws, they preferred, Corruption, Money plundering, Illegal individual or group contracts with foreign entities, as well as local Traders by either Privatising State institutions or the services that in the hands of that very institution or other-wise, with Ship -owners over the Sea-bed Wealth of Somaliland, where no Gov't official , regardless of what rank, could issue or get any permit to such contracts without passing through the Legislative Bodies of the state.

The Sixty or so Cabinet of Ministers, that were appointed by incumbent Udub leadership, do not have the least understanding of what it takes to be a Minister, but a bunch of clapping state officials by name, who dare not ask their Employer a single question but only have to execute presidency orders, regardless of its conformity to the National Constitution or the Prevalent National Laws!!

A Good example of this point is the Illegal Detention of Haatuf news net-work officials, who presented a well coordinated physical case of corruption and Misuse of National properties and pure abuse of Authority, but detained for an issue other than the core issue of Corruption, conspired by the C.I.D and the Attorney General's Office. Another one was the Qaran Officials illegal detention and kangaroo judgment inside a jail, for the same purpose of Obstructing Justice and abuse of authority!! A third was the over-throwing of the Shuro-Net, a Human Rights National organisation of over forty member groups at Gun point by a deputy-Minister and the same Mandheera Judge with armed Police force!!

Something very amusing is the fact that those over sixty members of the Cabinet, failed to put together a National Periodic Development Plan, to interpret the Gov't Leadership vision in serving the Country and the National Population. To be a Minister does not mean to wake-up at after ten in the Morning, cast one or two hrs of nothing-ado, then stroll over the presidency till kat chewing time and hence the end of the day, or be honored by a local NGO, who may have finished a seminar, to reflect you in Camera!! or lecture on Aids or the Anti-Female Genitals' Mutilation Customs etc, but holding a national Portfolio is absolutely an entirely different Issue.

It's a key element of State structure Pillars, It's the Force, arms and legs of the state. Somaliland is not set back by Riyale, but by this bunch of benign heads!!

The fact that only few Months remained from their whole term, the only thing they achieved that will remain in the history books is that, they Deserve to be Tabulated in the Board of "The Worst Servicemen" of the state of Somaliland.

Dr. Ali Abdi Mohamed, Hargeisa.
