Newcastle, UK, 15 February 2008 - A 27-year-old Som alian man accused of the murder of Bradford PC Sharon Beshenivsky appeared before a crown court today.
Mustaf Abdullah Jama appeared at Newcastle Crown Court via a video link from prison, where he is in custody.
The hearing was adjourned to be re-fixed for a date in early March, possibly to be heard at the Old Bailey, in London.
Jama faces charges of murdering PC Beshenivsky, 38, of Hainworth, near Keighley, on November 18, 2005, in Morley Street, Bradford.
He is also charged with robbery, two counts of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life and two of possessing prohibited weapons.
He was arrested and extradited from Somalia, in Africa, last year and flown back to the UK with West Yorkshire detectives.
