Liverpool, March 14, 2008 – Two men have been charged with murder over the death of a teenager in a fight between Somali immigrants in Liverpool.

Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim, 17, was killed after a brawl on Monday night on Croxteth Drive, near Sefton Park.

A post-mortem test revealed the youngster died of "blunt force trauma" according to Merseyside Police.

Ahmed's friend, 17, also Somalian, is being treated in hospital for cuts to his arms and hands following the attack.

Police said it involved a large-scale disturbance between 12 and 16 men, all from south Liverpool's Somalian community.

Kadir Mohammed, 22, and Essa Mohammed Ismail, 21, from Toxteth, have been arrested by Merseyside Police and charged with murder.

They will appear before Liverpool City Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Four men, also from Toxteth, aged, 19, 21, 22 and 29, remain in custody for questioning.
