She was asked 3 Questions:
Describe yourself in 3 words.
In the next 10 years where do you see Africa?
If you had all the riches in the world, what would you do with your fortune?

Marian Fahen Samatar for Somalia

Hello… My name is Marian Fahen Samatar. I am representing Somalia. I am 21 years old and I do Events Management. Currently I work for Cypres clubs. They have about 20 venues all around Europe. My job involves checking clubs out, organize events, dealing with suppliers, customer needs and expectations. I do a lot of promotional work, which takes me to exciting new places. Even though I am busy most of the times I try to fit MEA into my tight schedule!
If Africans don’t stand for their own rights, I do believe that Africa shall remain the same if not get worse. I believe it is time for us women to unite and fight for are own future and those of our children. African countries are run by mostly greedy, blood thirsty, ignorant men. And who suffers the most? Those who are less privileged! However I have noticed that a fast majority of Africans have fled to the 2nd world… where they have been educated and are raised without the hatred (tribal) that has caused civil wars on our continent. Some even send money back home or organise charity, while others go back and try to build businesses, houses, hospitals and schools. Africa is a rich continent with poor inhabitants. Unfortunately I cannot predict the future but I hope that Africa shall become what it was known before… an oasis!
If I had all the riches in the world what would I have done?
Thank god first of all.
Enjoy my wealth for couple of months.
Campaign for human rights.
Organize riots against the greedy African governments.
Prosecute war criminals, slave traders.
Help those who are less privileged.
Rebuild glamorous mosques and cities in Africa.
Investigate natural resources in East Africa.
Listen to the needs of our people and work closely with them to get it.
To be honest the list can go on for ages. So to make it short “AFRICA NEEDS HOPE.”
