Buroa, Somaliland, June 6, 2009 (SL Times) – Somaliland President Dahir Rayale Kahin visited Buroa, capital of Togdheer region, on June 3rd. He was accompanied by several of his ministers.
As reported by Haatuf correspondent in Buroa, Mr Ahmed A. Yusuf, the president was greeted by a large crowd and stayed at the Guest House in the northern part of the city. He met with high officials from the various branches of government as well as ordinary people.
President Dahir Rayale Kahin did not say exactly how long he will stay in Buroa, but he did indicate that he will be in Togdheer for a while and may visit towns and villages in the outskirts of Buroa.
There has also been hints that the president might visit Odweyne or Ainabo or Erigavo.
