Some In Qaeda Leave Pakistan For Somalia And Yemen

Hargeysa, Somaliland, June 13, 2009 (SL Times) – Some of Somaliland's singers have accused the minister of culture and tourism of misusing $60 million Somaliland shillings that were allocated for Somaliland Independence Day. The angry singers went to the ministry to discuss this matter but the minister did not show up. In a press conference held at the ministry of culture and tourism, the irate singers alleged that the budget of May 18 celebrations was misused by the minister and rejected his statement that he is going to fire the artists who had published criticisms of his ministry in the media.
Anab Aw-Diriye, one of the singers that the minister said he is going to fire, said, "the minister of culture got his job while we were there, and he will leave while we are still there, because artists cannot be fired from their job while ministers can be fired, and even after we die our songs and plays will continue to live."
Another singer, Run Haddi, also expressed the same sentiments.
