Pretoria, South Africa, July 25, 2009 (SL Times) – A Somaliland law committee visited South Africa in response to an invitation by their counterparts in South Africa which goes by the acronym SLRC. The visit lasted three days July 15-8. The purpose of the visit was to exchange knowledge regarding law in South Africa and Somaliland.

Abdiwahid Sheikh Osman (Chairman of the committee who is also a lawyer and professor at the University of Minnesota).
Mahmud Hussein Farah (Dean of Law School, University of Hargeysa)
Ibrahim Idle Suleiman (Professor, University of Hargeysa)
Muhammad Omar Geele (An expert in higher court law, also a professor in Somaliland Universities)
Ifrah Aden Omar (Expert in human rights law)
