Somaliland’s Upper House Establishes Committee To Resolve Dispute Between Parties

Hargeysa, Somaliland, August 29, 2009 (SL Times) – In a session on Aug.26, 2009, Somaliland’s Upper House established a 24-member committee to resolve the political and legal disputes between political parties. The Chairman of the Upper House, Mr Suleiman Mohamud Adan raised the urgent need for a solution. He said that although the Ethiopian Minister of State tried to solve the problem, he had to leave before finishing his work. Suleiman Mohamud Adan emphasized that it is the responsibility of Somalilanders to find a solution for the country’s political and legal differences.
