Somaliland, August 29, 2009 (SL Times) – Ethiopian Minister of State for
Foreign Affairs, Dr Tekeda Alemu paid a visit to Admas University in
Hargeysa on Thursday. Dr Tekeda Alemu was accompanied by Somaliland’s
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Abdillahi Muhammed Duale.
Dr Tekeda Alemu and the delegation accompanying him were warmly welcomed
by the Dean of Admas University, Mr Ahmed Dahir Mohamed, the management,
teachers and students of the University. “Minister, we are very happy to
have you here,” said Ahmed Dahir Mohamed.
The visiting dignitaries were given a tour of the University and were
briefed by Mr Ahmed Dahir Mohamed about the progress the university has
made. Dr Tekeda Alemu also had a private meeting with the dean of the
University during which the minister was updated on the situation of
education in the University.
At the end of his visit, Dr Tekeda Alemu praised the management of the
University, especially its Dean, Mr Ahmed Dahir Mohamed, the teachers
and students for the educational advances that they had achieved. He
also thanked them for the excellent reception, and promised to come back
again.
The Ethiopian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs was on an official
visit to Somaliland.
