Las Anod,
Somaliland, September 12, 2009 (SL Times) – An office in charge of the
safety of the western part of Las Anod was opened on Sep.7. This office
is part of 4 offices which are planned to be opened at different parts
of the city. These new offices will work with police and the security
forces. The opening of these neighborhood security offices was the
result of a consensus reached by Las Anod’s elders and intellectuals in
a seminar organized by Horn Peace.
The inauguration of the security office event was attended by Las Anod
city and security officials, including the commander of Sool Col.
Muhammad Suleiman Gooni and the mayor of Las Anod, Ambashe Aw Dahir.
