Hargeysa, Somaliland, September 12, 2009 (SL Times) – In the last three weeks, Somalilanders have come to know some bizarre parliamentary characters whose true face has until now been hidden from the public view. Somalilanders and millions of internet browsers can now see the shouting matches, the pushing and shoving, and the disgusting sight of Abdirahman Mohamed Jama (Xoog) taking out his gun in parliament. Another character whose antics and weird behavior makes even the Mbagathi crowd look good, is Hussein Ismail Yusuf. In an interview with the BBC on Sept.10, 2009 Hussein Ismail Yusuf ended his transparent lies and disingenuous claims by saying, “Thank God, parliament is closed” (kol haddi bahalki la xidhay waxa weeye Ilaahay mahaddi”.
Now what kind of parliamentarian says he is glad that the parliament, of which he is a member, is closed? Here is the answer: a parliamentarian who sold his integrity for a few bucks.
