Erigavo,
Somaliland, October 3, 2009 (SL Times) – A seminar on violence against
women was held in Erigavo.
According to Qarannews.com, various types of violence against women were
discussed, including violence that is committed by women against women,
and what to do about it. About 30 women attended.
Among the speakers at this event were the Chairman of SCDO Mohamud
Muhammed (Sagaalle), Fadumo Haji Hassan (the coordinator of family
affairs), and the Secretary for Sanag region, Abdirahman Jama Farah.
The program was funded by Action Aid and lasted for three days.
