Addis Ababa, October 10, 2009 – The UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) on Tuesday announced 39 million pound sterling more in humanitarian assistance for the Horn of Africa.
According to a press release the British Embassy in Addis Ababa sent to WIC, 30 million pound sterling will go to Ethiopia.
The funding is additional to 24 million pound sterling emergency support already provided to Ethiopia in 2009, the release indicated.
An extra 9 million pound sterling is being provided to help people in Kenya and Somalia, it said.
