Horn Of Africa Distributes Food In Berbera

Berbera, Somaliland, October 10, 2009 (SL Times) – Horn of Africa, a local NGO, distributed 30 tons of food to 2000 needy families in Berbera.
According to Jamhuuriya newspaper, the food consisted of 20 tons of flour and 10 tons of dates.
The representative of Horn of Africa in Berbera, Sheikh Suleiman Said Ali, who is considered as one of Berbera’s highly respected Sheikhs, said that they received the food aid from the United Arab Emirates. He also added that they had distributed this sort of aid before all across Somaliland and that they intend to continue helping the poor.
