Berbera, Somaliland, November 14, 2009 (SL Times) –
The port of Berbera received a 230 meter ship, the longest ship to dock
in Berbera. The ship is called MV-Ander and it carried 18 tons of sugar
for Omaar Company.
Before this ship arrived the record of the longest ship to dock in
Berbera was held by Beder II which was 204 meters and carried a shipment
of livestock from the port of Berbera.
The docking of this ship comes at a time when the port of Berbera has
received new equipment that will upgrade and quicken its services.
