Al-Falah Distributes Livestock And Food

Hargeysa, Somaliland, November 28, 2009 (SL Times) – On the occasion of Eid al-Adha or the celebration of sacrifice, the Somaliland non-governmental organization al-Falah distributed livestock and food to four locations in Somaliland’s capital, Hargeysa. The first location was Hargeysa General Hospital to which al-Falah donated 10 livestocks that was formally received by the hospital’s new Director General, Dr Abdirizaq Yusuf Abdillahi. The second location was Hargeysa’s mental hospital to which al-Falah also donated 10 livestock. The third location was Hargeysa’s orphanage to which al-Falah donated 10 livestock, plus food, which was formally received by the head of the orphanage, Mr Muhammad Ismail (Kidifaar). Al-Falah also extended donations to the Hargeysa’s TB hospital.
Furthermore, Al-Falah distributed the meat of slaughtered livestock to 275 families in Hargeysa, Cadaadlay, Boorama and Gabilay. Moreover, al-Falah gave clothing to 25 needy families. The people and organizations that received the donations were very appreciative and said al-Falah will get its recompense for its good deeds from Almighty Allah.
“This is all part of a large project to help the poor,” said Sheikh Said Abdi Abdillahi, the General Director of al-Falah. Sheikh Said Abdi Abdillahi also revealed that they had done an investigation before they distributed their donations and identified the most needy locations. He also reiterated that al-Falah will continue on its path of helping the poor and will actualize its motto, “We are wherever there is a need” (Waxa aanuu joognaa meel walba oo ay baahi taallo".
