Cairo, Egypt, December 12, 2009 (SL Times) – Abdiqasim Salad Hassan, the head of the defunct Arta Faction which once billed itself as the government of Somalia accused the US, Ethiopia and other unnamed foreigners of being behind the Hotel Shamo suicide bombing in which 23 students, doctors, politicians and journalists were killed and scores were injured.
Although he explicitly mentioned the US and Ethiopian agents as having a hand in the explosion, Abdiqasim Salad Hassan did not mention who the other foreigners were except to say that they were the same ones who were behind the murder of the Minister of Security, Omar Adan Hashi in Baladweyn.
Abdiqasim Salad Hassan leveled his accusations from Cairo, Egypt, where he now lives.
