Two Of Sheikh Sharif’s Parliamentarians Wounded

Mogadishu, Somalia, December 19, 2009 (SL Times) – A bomb thrown at a hotel in Mogadishu wounded two parliamentarians as well as nearby pedestrians. The parliamentarians lived in the hotel. One of the parliamentarians was reported to have been seriously injured. The hotel is located near the building where the so-called “President” of Somalia, Sheikh Sharif, is holed up and guarded by African troops. Dahir Irro, one the two parliamentarians injured in the incident, has been lately sounding the alarm about the lack of security in Mogadishu and had proposed that the capital of Somalia should be moved from Mogadishu to somewhere else.
