Chairman Of The Upper House Returns To Somaliland

Hargeysa, Somaliland, January 16, 2010 – (SL Times) – The Chairman of Somaliland’s Upper House, the Honorable Suleiman Mohamud Adam, returned to Somaliland on Friday after a two month visit to Britain.
He was welcomed at Berbera airport by several members of the Upper House led by the head of the disputed standing committee, Mr. Abdillahi Ibrahim Hirsi (Dhugad).
The Honorable Chairman was later met at Haleeya (close to Hargeysa) by more members of the Upper House, parliamentarians and hundreds of people and well wishers.
Mr. Suleiman Mohamud Adam thanked the people for their warm welcome and urged Somalilanders to unite. He said now is not the time of creating divisions but the time of unity so that we can go to the election united.
