Puntland Intelligence Staff Assassinated

Bosasso, Somalia, February 20, 2010 (SL Times) – A man and a woman were killed in the city of Bosasso Monday. The woman worked as janitorial staff with Puntland’s Intelligence Service (PIS), while the background of the man was not revealed. Initial reports indicate that the woman was the real target while the man was killed as collateral damage.
The killer whose face was masked when he committed the murder fled the murder scene and his identity remains unknown. The security situation in Puntland has been steadily deteriorating for quite some time and it has gotten to the point where Killings and assassinations have become routine.
