ONLF Kills Four Civilians

Hargeysa, Somaliland, February 27, 2010 (SL Times) – Militias of the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) attacked civilians in the area of Isgoyska which is part of Aware district in the Somali region of Ethiopia.
Explaining what happened, Sultan Ali Abdillahi Baane told the Somali language newspaper Ogaal that the civilians were attacked by the ONLF while they were in the middle of building a water reservoir. The attack resulted in the death of two civilians. After the attack, the civilian population re-engaged the ONLF and killed four members of the ONLF and wounded one of them. Then the ONLF sneaked back into the civilian area and abducted two young men and slaughtered them.
The ONLF has a standing policy of killing civilians, especially members of the Isaq clan who oppose the ONLF’s cruel and primitive methods. The ONLF also has a declared policy of burning vehicles that belong to members of the Isaq clan.
