SOHASCO Gives HIV/AIDS Orientation In Gacmo-Dheere School

Hargeysa, Somaliland, March 13, 2010 (SL Times) – The Somaliland youth volunteer organization (SOHASCO) took the message about the dangers of HIV/AIDS to Gacmo-Dheere school. The principal of to Gacmo-Dheere school, Mr Hassan Jama Abdillahi, first thanked SOHASCO for bringing the program to the school.
The Director of SOHASCO, Mr. Mohamud Hassan Abdillahi gave some information on the disease such as its history, how it is transmitted and how to avoid it.
A program officer from SAHAN, Mr Abdirahman Warsame Nur congratulated SOHASCO for putting together this program without help from anybody. He said HIV/AIDS education is necessary so that the country would not lose a whole generation as happened in Uganda.
SOHASCO plans to educate one school a week about the HIV/AIDS disease.
