Bosasso’s Deputy Mayor’s House Bombed

Bosasso, Somalia, April 3, 2010 (SL Times) – A hand grenade was thrown at the house of Bosaso’s Deputy Mayor, Abdulqadir Yusuf Dahir on March 22, 2010.
The deputy mayor and two others were wounded in the attack. No one claimed to be behind the attack. Puntland’s security has been in a downward spiral for quite some time with almost daily bombings and assassinations. Puntland is also a center of piracy.
The Ethiopian government was so concerned about the unraveling security in Puntland it invited Puntland’s president to Addis Ababa to discuss the matter.
