Veterinarians Leave For Sool And Sanag

Hargeysa, Somaliland, April 3, 2010 (SL Times) – Three groups of veterinary doctors left for Sool and Sanag in order to check on the health of livestock in those regions. While in Sanag, the veterinarians will take blood samples from the animals and check for Burcella.
Speaking to the press, the Director of the Ministry of Livestock, Dr Giire said the veterinarians will spend 28 days in Sool and 22 days in Sanag.
The program was put together by the ministry of livestock and was financed by SAHSP.
Saudi Arabia and Persian Gulf countries have recently lifted the ban on Somali livestock on the condition that the livestock exported to those countries would be free from disease.
