Eng. Bashe Gaboobe Leads Kulmiye Delegation Tour Of Western Regions

Hargeysa, Somaliland, May 22, 2010 (SL Times) – The Campaign Manager of Kulmiye party for the western regions, Eng. Bashe Abdi Gaboobe called the cancellation of the independence celebrations of May 18 and June an unfortunate decision by the government.
He said the decision was unjustified because most people had already taken their voting cards and the May 18 celebration would not have prevented those who had not gotten their cards from getting their cards.
Bashe Abdi Gaboobe made this statement to Haatuf newspaper in a telephone call from Gerissa where is leading a Kulmiye party delegation tour of the western regions.
Speaking of their activities so far, Bashe Abdi Gaboobe said, “We are now in Gerissa and we are headed to Zayla. We have traveled from Gabiley to Borama. When we reached Dila we were met by a big delegation led by Professor Ismail Mumin Aar. From there we went to Borama. Upon reaching Borama, we were met by a big delegation led by Kulmiye’s Vice presidential candidate, Mr Abdirahman Zaylai. We addressed Kulmiye’s supporters and different segments of the community at the party’s premises in Borama and told them to take their voting cards and to maintain the peace and security. From there we moved on to Boon, Harirad, Qulujeed, Abdiqadir, Sheekh Aware, and Fardo lagu Hidh. We were warmly welcomed and people were chanting long live Kulmiye even in Qulujeed, President Rayale’s hometown.”
