Rayale Unfitness For A Re-Appointment

Rayale Unfitness For A Re-Appointment

For Salaam All, To Somalilanders worldwide

The great clash looms. After months of heated build-up, we will soon know the outcome of a contest between two starkly contrasting styles.

On one side, we have Udub with Mr Rayale at his helm and anyone will be asking themselves this:

How, can we possibly be contemplating giving this guy another five years? Well it is anyone guesses.

We have gone beyond disbelief at the outrageousness of Rayale political lies, and we are now emerging somewhere approaching grudging disgust for the sheer, bloody-minded incompetence of the man. Truth is, the Somaliland electorate is being hoodwinked by this government. He and his gang of ruthless operatives will stop at nothing to save themselves from defeat. They will use every dirty trick in the book, and are already doing so, to knock Mr Sillanyo off  his stride and sow doubts in the receptive minds of uncertain voters.

Everyone agree on his unfitness for a re-appointment ! The voters say they want rid of Mr Rayale. they cannot quite believe that Mr Rayale will get away with it. They are overwhelmed by the sheer gall of a President who could say, in his speeches, my achievements are truly real and need more time to even do more, when the records show the precise opposite is true!

He knows it too. . In his address, he has repeatedly talked about his achievements during his past term without actually pointing to a particular one! And worst asked for another term to pursue his political agenda! He is seeking to persuade us that, whatever the opposition might say, change is not needed. Change means uncertainty; who needs uncertainty when Mr Rayale is offering – as he did yesterday – security and nothing else precisely.... Why change when prospects are improving, and the future is looking brighter? Does he live in the same country as all of Us??

Security??? This peace and security that we are all enjoying is the reward of a long and painful struggle where blood has spilt, expenses have occurred and distresses in many forms have been felt ! When claimed that This president and co achieved peace , it is a slap in the face ! You can pretend claiming anything else but peace , sorry mate! It is a line so at odds with reality, so manifestly untrue, so utterly ridiculous that one barely knows where to start challenging it. History doesn't hunt him and his gang. They cannot walk past a national achievement without rebasing for political gain (peace, national institutions, etc...). They either think we ignore them or they can rewrite everything! Rather than expiate his sins of his past, he seeks to exploit them. He's truly incorrigible.

His words rang hollow and there was a palpable sense of mockery in his statements. He has deeply disappointed not only those listening to his speech but also he has disappointed the whole Somalilanders scattered around the world. Prohibiting reasoned policy argument and a true debate on his political agenda, he seems happy to go along with his lies, communicating in bogus assertions, vapid slogans and affirmations of his own brilliance!!!  Most normal people would shrivel with embarrassment at having been caught out trying to cheat the electorate this way. Mr Rayale and co, however, are not normal; they are poison!

Some of what he said was absurd, monstrous. The idea that there was a shared view between the opposition and the extremists fighting in Somalia about defeating them, for example. Or that Mr Sillanyo is intent to merge the north with the south Somalia ! This from a Siyad's remnant who have already scoff enough money to live out the balance of his live in luxurious idleness, while the daily routine of struggling for the next meal for the vast majority of our people has not likely change much. He will have no thought for those who must navigate life's daily necessities. No doubt from the Commons the President should not emerge victorious, if not another step nearer his extinction as the greatest remnant survivor of all times. AND OUT GOES Mr RAYALE!

In comes Mr Sillanyo, polished contender, respected, with the authenticity and the integrity of a leader loved by the nation.

We have lost faith in politics, yet here is a politician whose endurance one can only admire and who has faith in our ability as individuals to wrestle responsibility for society away from the this current government. We demand vision from our would-be leaders, and here is one who offers a big one, of a society rebuilt from the ground up once again.

There is usually a moment when all is revealed and the answer becomes plain. That moment has arrived for Somaliland people. For some, this happens quickly. Others take a while, but otherwise the delight is of the same magnitude! Today Somaliland has rediscovered their leader again. And i'm sure he will be giving people both the tools and the powers they need to become active and restore their hope and aspirations!

Let's get behind Mr Silanyo and give our trust and confidence on polling day inshallah and our national interest will be served to the best possible ways!

Amin  Ali_iid
