Somaliland: No Need Of Political Howl

Somaliland: No Need Of Political Howl

“Patience is a virtue”

It’s too early to throw harsh criticisms at the newly installed government and those who have impulsive appetite of throwing ineffective criticisms should hold their horses. We sincerely and democratically elected a new president for the nascent country and his government formation is now completed.

During his inaugural days, he undoubtedly stated in writing and spoke in his speech that, he is determined and committed of building a reliable and robust government which coupled with well-respected and well educated ministers that have proven capability of performing their assigned tasks timely and fairly.

In addition, He publicly, professionally and with caution called upon Somaliland elites for consultation of how to form the government and the newly formed government is the direct result and full reflection of that consultation. I believe, our president appears to be heading into the right direction and only needs our support to bolster his morale in order to tackle the colossal challenges that our country is currently facing including inherited deficits from the previous administration. He definitely requires no howls aimed at him and his government.

Unfortunately, there are baseless criticisms and accusation posted on certain websites by imprudent and power monger people against current government. It is fair to presume that, ones who made accusation are those who could not find their names on the cabinet list. They are accusing the president of being nepotism, favoritism and attempting to create public uproars in Somaliland as consequence.

Those individuals include Mr. Bashir God who deliberately accused Mr. Sillanyo of being favoritism and stated that; the president used the infamous formula that South Somalia politicians utilize to distribute the power sharing among clans; it is known as 4.5 formula. In this short article, l am simply stating that Mr. God is completely wrong and he should come forward and explain his groundless accusation to the public.

In sum, the newly installed government appears to be heading into the right direction with right people. It’s wise and patriotic act that public should demonstrate patience and willingness of supporting the government. For those who had been howling from outside of the country such as Mr. Bashir God should relax and focus on their work.
