President Ahmed Sillanyo Meets British Officials

Hargeysa, Somaliland, September 17, 2011 (SL Times) – Somaliland President, Ahmed Sillanyo received in his office three members of UK’s embassy in Ethiopia.
According to a press release issued by Somaliland government spokesman Abdillahi Muhammad Dahir (Cukuse), the members of the delegation were: Chris Allen, the second secretary of the embassy, Matt Woods, and Paulina (a representative of DFID, the British government organization in charge of overseas development projects).
Among the issues discussed by the two sides were: community development, how to strengthen security, the fight against piracy, and improving relations with neighboring countries.
The press release went on to say that the President thanked the delegation for visiting Somaliland and commended the UK government for its good relations with Somaliland.
