UDHIS Formally Established

Hargeysa, Somaliland, November 26, 2011 (SL Times) – The formation of UDHIS political organization was formally declared this week. Present at the announcement of the new organization were former Somaliland Vice President Hasan Ise Jama, veteran SNM leader Ibrahim Abdillahi Hussein (Dhaga Weyne), former Vice President Abdirahman Aw Ali, Mohammad Haji Mohamoud, UCID’s Chairman Faysal Ali Warabe, Ali Guray and Suleiman Ali Koore (legislator).
Former Vice President Abdirahman Aw Ali stressed that UDHIS is not an organization that one can use for his own selfish purposes, and that it does not belong to a clan, region or an individual, but belongs to all the people of Somaliland. Elaborating on this point, Ibrahim Abdillahi Hussein added that UDHIS is different from other political groupings in that it insists on change and upholding the law.
The event took place at Ambassador Hotel and participants came from the various regions.
