Gen. Shaqalle Attends Commandos Graduation, Inspects Eastern Troops

Hargeysa, Somaliland, February 18, 2012 (SL Times) – The newly-appointed Commander of Somaliland Military, Ismail Muhammad Osman (Shaqalle) went on an inspection tour of the eastern parts of the country.
Somaliland military in Buhoodle was recently subjected to a sneak attack, and consequently the military in those areas plus Sool and eastern Sanag are in a state of high alert.
Before going on the inspection tour, the new commander attended the graduation of a special commandos unit that finished training at Dararweyne military training school. Speaking to the new graduates, Gen. Shaqalle reminded them that the reason they have gone through six months of tough training is to defend the country, and to save their own lives, because the better they are trained, the better their chance of not getting killed or injured in battles. Present at the graduation ceremony was the head of military training, Col. Ahmed Taansaani and other military officers.
