Telesom Donates $20,000 For Dawga ‘Ad Road Construction

Hargeysa, Somaliland, June 16, 2012 (SL Times) – A ceremony was held in Mansoor Hotel in which Telesom company handed a donation of $20,000 to the committee in charge of the construction of Dawga ‘Ad road.
The head of of market development in Telesom, Abdisalan Ismail Nur spoke on the occasion and emphasized that the Dawga ‘Ad road belongs to everybody in the community and Telesom is part of the community that is contributing to building the road. He also mentioned that Telesom had donated to the Tog Wajale road and $ 5,000 for Jameeco Weyn and the bridge of Sheikh Nur neighborhood.
Eng. Cabdirashi Maxamud Muuse spoke at the ceremony and said Telesom was fulfilling its duty and urged other companies to follow its example.
Sultan Mohamoud Saeed spoke too and thanked Telesom for its donation and reported that the work on the road is going well and urged Telesom to continue its support for the project.
Eng Yusuf Ahmed Yasin was present at the ceremony and commended Telesom for supporting such a vital project.
Eng. Ahmed Saeed Warsame who is involved in the project gave a progress report on the project and said the road is making it possible to travel easily between Somaliland and Djibouti.
Eng. Ali Abdi Daymi, the engineer in charge of constructing the road, highlighted the progress of the project and expressed hope that it will be successfully completed.
Towards the end of the ceremony, the owner of Maansoor Hotel Abdiqadir Hashi Elmi talked about how difficult and primitive the telecommunication services used to be compared to now, and how Telesom contributed to those advances.
