Norwegian Delegation Arrives In Somaliland

Hargeysa, Somaliland, July 14, 2012 (SL Times) – A Norwegian delegation visited Somaliland this week. According to some reports, the delegation came to discuss with Somaliland government the possibility of deporting some Somali asylum seekers from Norway to Somaliland.
This is not the first time that Norway comes up with a plan to deport Somalis to Somaliland, but all previous attempts failed due to Somaliland government’s rejection of such arrangements.
Fadumo Ali Madar who hails from Somaliland and who serves in Norway’s local government t was part of the delegation.
