Amoud Foundation Provides Food To Drought Victims In Boon

Boon, Somaliland, August 18, 2012 (SL Times) – Amound Foundation has donated sacks of rice to 350 poor families in Boon, Awdal region.
Speaking on this matter, the director of Amoud Foundation in Somaliland, Mr Abdirahman Ahmed Obsiiye, told the Committee for Community Affairs and the local government administration of Boon to distribute those items to the needy people in Boon. He also said this is not the first time Amoud Foundation helps the victims of drought, for they had previously assisted to 850 families at Gargaara. Moreover, he pointed out that some of this assistance that they handed was sent by the Somaliland diaspora in Khamis/Masheet, Saudi Arabia.
The local government and the Committee for Community Affairs in Boon thanked Amoud Foundation for its valuable assistance and requested it to continue its noble efforts.
Amoud Foundation is busy trying to help needy Somali people throughout the Horn of Africa, and at this time, more specifically, the drought-stricken areas of Western Somaliland.
